₹1.79 Crore Sanctioned for Beautification of Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple; MLA Thanks CM Dhami

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Purola MLA Durgeshwar Lal on Tuesday at Mukhyasevak Sadan at the Chief Minister’s residence. The MLA expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for sanctioning ₹1.79 crore for the beautification of Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple at Danda Devrana in the Villa Naugaon area.

The Chief Minister said the state government is continuously working to preserve Uttarakhand’s religious and cultural heritage. He said that along with major religious sites, special attention is also being given to the development of temples and fairs associated with local faith and traditions.

MLA Durgeshwar Lal said that Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple at Danda Devrana is an important centre of faith for the presiding deity of 65 villages. He said beautification and the development of basic facilities would provide better amenities to devotees and further strengthen the religious identity of the region.

He also thanked the Chief Minister for previously declaring the Rudreshwar Mahadev Fair a state-level fair. According to him, the decision would give greater recognition to the region’s folk culture, traditions and religious heritage.

Office-bearers of the Rudreshwar Temple Committee and public representatives from the area were also present during the meeting.
