Dehradun: A total of 306 meritorious students from 31 schools affiliated with the CBSE and ICSE boards were honoured with Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals along with certificates at the 6th Toppers’ Conclave, jointly organised by UCOST, DIT University, and Divya Himgiri at the IRDT Auditorium. Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey (IAS), Secretary, Government of Uttarakhand, attended the event as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Pandey said, “Achieving success is difficult, but remaining at the pinnacle of success is an even greater challenge.” He encouraged students to remain lifelong learners, develop original thinking, and always value their friendships. He added that in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), originality and creativity will be the key to success.
DIT University Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Raghuram said that in today’s world, it is not important where one studies, but what and how deeply one has learned.
Dr. Harendra Singh Bisht, Director of IIP, said that today’s meritorious students will play the most significant role in building a Developed India by 2047.
UCOST Director General Prof. (Dr.) Durgesh Pant highlighted that Dehradun is home to several premier scientific institutions and announced that India’s fifth Science City will become operational in the city next year. He encouraged students to visit scientific institutions to broaden their knowledge.
The programme was also addressed by Dr. Prem Kashyap and Dr. D.S. Maan. Dr. Kunwar Raj Asthana delivered the welcome address, Dr. D.P. Uniyal, Joint Director, UCOST, proposed the vote of thanks, and the event was anchored by Dr. O.P. Nautiyal.
Class 10 Toppers
Students securing top honours included Arush Arora (99%), Nisad Anand (99%), Rudraksh Rawat (99.40%), Sadhana Kunjumpidukkal (99%), Chitraksh Sood (99%), Bhumika Ray (98.80%), Dishita Singh (98.80%), Agamya Agarwal (98.60%), Kavya Sati (98.60%), Munazza Ashraf (98.60%), Srishti Bahuguna (98.40%), Anukrama Saini (98.20%), and several other outstanding performers from participating schools.
Class 12 Toppers
Among the top achievers were Anushka Kotonala (99.5%), Suhani Agrawal (99.5%), Soumya Khosla (99%), Naina Sagar (99%), Aishwarya Pratap Singh (99%), Pratha Gangwar (99%), Daksh Joshi (98.5%), Aishwar Dhaliwal (98.5%), Ayush Rana (98.5%), Somesh Barthwal (98%), Gauransh Barua (98%), Riya Murai (98%), and many other meritorious students.
