Uttarakhand: Preparations begin for major changes in the state bureaucracy; seven IAS officers to be given new responsibilities

Dehradun: Preparations have begun for major changes in the state bureaucracy in the new year. The departments of several IAS officers may be changed soon. Seven IAS officers who were promoted to the rank of Secretary may also be given new responsibilities. Secretary to the Chief Minister, Shailesh Bagoli, currently holds important departments such as Home, Water Supply, and Personnel. His letter of empanelment from the central government has arrived.

If he goes to the central government, this important department will become vacant. On the other hand, eight Additional Secretaries were recently promoted to the rank of Secretary. Of these, Eva Ashish Srivastava was given a pro forma promotion as she is on deputation.

The others, Dr. Ahmed Iqbal, Sonika, Ranjana Rajguru, Anand Swaroop, Dev Krishna Tiwari, Umesh Narayan Pandey, and Rajendra Kumar, became Secretaries from January 1st. Now all these Secretaries are also to be given responsibilities. Accordingly, the departments of the Secretaries will be changed.
