Dehradun: Chief Minister Dhami has described the Union Budget as a budget for a developed India. CM Dhami said that the Union Budget 2026-27 is not just an economic document, but a powerful declaration of the resolve for a developed India. It clearly reflects the needs of today as well as the vision for the coming decades.
CM Dhami said that this budget has been prepared keeping in mind the farmers, youth, women power, and underprivileged sections of India. It expands opportunities, instills confidence in self-reliance, and contains concrete plans for the upliftment of every section of society. The provisions made in sectors like defense, agriculture, infrastructure, education, health, women’s empowerment, tourism, and innovation will not only accelerate the country’s economic growth but also strengthen social balance and inclusive development.
In particular, the announcement in this budget regarding the development of trekking trails in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir is a far-sighted initiative. This will strengthen local livelihoods in the mountainous regions, create new employment opportunities for youth and local people, and open new avenues for tourism.
CM Dhami said that undoubtedly, this budget is a decisive step towards realizing the vision of ‘Developed India @ 2047’. He said that this budget has the potential to make the country an economic superpower and bring about positive changes in the lives of every citizen.
CM Dhami said that several announcements have been made in the budget regarding investment in education. He mentioned the establishment of the National Institute of Design, university townships around industrial and logistics corridors, hostels in every district, and the establishment of modern telescope infrastructure to promote astrophysics and astronomy. All these initiatives will open new doors of knowledge, research, and employment for the youth of the country.
