Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to dedicate Adampur Airport in the name of Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji is a true tribute to his great thoughts, social consciousness, and dedication to humanity. This decision, taken on the auspicious occasion of Sant Ravidas Jayanti, is not only highly commendable but also a historic step towards social harmony.
CM Dhami said that the message of equality, compassion, service, and respect for all human beings that Sant Ravidas Ji conveyed through his life and thoughts remains an inspiration for society even today. By raising his voice against discrimination, inequality, and social hierarchy, he presented a vision of an egalitarian society, which is still completely relevant today.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the tradition of honoring the thoughts of great men and saints is continuously being strengthened in the country. Associating Adampur Airport with the name of Sant Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji is an important effort to spread his ideals to every person and connect the new generation with his thoughts.
