Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami officially unveiled the poster of the film “Jalambhumi” at the Chief Minister’s residence. On this occasion, the Chief Minister extended his best wishes and congratulations to the film’s producer-director K. Ram Negi and the entire film team.
Notably, the film is scheduled to be released on February 6th. The Chief Minister said that films like “Jalambhumi” effectively present important social issues and strengthen social concerns through cinema.
Chief Minister Dhami said that Uttarakhand is emerging as an ideal state for film production due to its natural beauty, diverse geographical conditions, cultural heritage, and peaceful environment. The state government is continuously working to encourage the film industry.
The Chief Minister informed that the film policy has been effectively implemented in Uttarakhand, under which film producers are being provided quick permissions through a single-window system. The shooting permission process has been made simple, transparent, and time-bound, so that film producers do not face any inconvenience.
He said that the state government is promoting subsidies on film shooting, employment opportunities for local artists, technicians and youth, and maximum utilization of local resources. Along with this, efforts are being made to establish the state on the national and international film map through the Uttarakhand Film Development Council.
The Chief Minister said that the objective of the film policy is not limited to just film shooting, but it is also strengthening tourism, the local economy, job creation, and the state’s cultural identity. The production of web series, documentaries, short films, and feature films is also being encouraged in Uttarakhand.
Wishing the film success, the Chief Minister said that the state government will continue to provide all possible support to cinema and creative industries in the future as well. MLA Durgesh Lal was also present at the event.
