Dehradun: Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan chaired a meeting regarding the Uttarakhand Air Connectivity Scheme of the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority at the Secretariat on Tuesday. The Chief Secretary reviewed the current status of air connectivity in the state with officials.
The Chief Secretary directed the preparation of an action plan to connect Adi Kailash, Nabhidang, and Jolikang with air services. He also directed that air services from Sahastradhara to Purnagiri should be started soon. He urged continued efforts to explore possibilities for expanding air connectivity in the state. He emphasized the need to expand helipad and heliport facilities in view of the development of the tourism circuit in the state.
Secretary Sachin Kurve stated that efforts are underway to develop helipads and heliports in the state. He added that Naini Saini Airport will soon be handed over to the Airport Authority of India.
Secretary Sachin Kurve and Additional Secretary Ashish Chauhan along with other senior officers were present on this occasion.
