Dehradun: “Missing Link Funding” will play a crucial role in accelerating development work in the state. Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan stated this during a review meeting held in the Secretariat auditorium.
The meeting included a detailed review of projects from various departments, including Urban Development, Public Works, Medical and Health, Energy, School Education, Pitkul, and Irrigation, that require additional funding for full implementation or are incomplete due to inadequate funding.
The Chief Secretary directed that proposals for projects requiring additional budget or partial “missing link” funding be submitted promptly, in accordance with established standards. He categorically stated that approved but pending projects should be started on priority to avoid unnecessary delays in public welfare projects.
He directed the Finance Secretary to examine proposals for additional funding received from departments and grant necessary approvals to expedite development work. He also directed the District Magistrates to ensure the effective operation of completed projects and to ensure timely completion of projects that received funding and promptly submit utilization certificates.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary reviewed the current status of projects and emphasized transparency and expediting work.
Principal Secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretaries Sachin Kurve, Dilip Jawalkar, Ranjit Sinha, and officials from related departments were present.
