CM Dhami Accelerates Development Works; ₹102 Crore Approved for Kumbh-2027 and Various Schemes

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has granted financial and administrative approval of approximately ₹102 crore for various development projects to accelerate progress in the state. Under this, ₹4 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of residential buildings for six medical officers at the sub-district hospital in Bazpur, Udham Singh Nagar district.

In preparation for Kumbh Mela–2027, the Chief Minister has approved ₹50.27 crore for the construction of a proposed Police Command and Control Center building in Haridwar. Additionally, ₹9 crore has been sanctioned for the renovation and beautification of lanes from Har Ki Pauri to Laltaro Bridge.

Under the State Disaster Mitigation Fund, against a scheme worth ₹6.67 crore for protective works on the approach of a damaged RCC bridge on the Narsan–Harjauli–Jat Mudlana–Landhaura–Jaurasi Buddhedi–Bajedi–Rajputana motor road in the Khanpur area of Haridwar, a first installment of ₹2.67 crore has been approved. Furthermore, ₹25 crore has been released to the Public Works Department for the repair and reconstruction of assets damaged by natural disasters.

In Champawat district’s Purnagiri area, under a ₹5.75 crore scheme for the protection of village Chanigoth from the Huddi River, the first installment of ₹2.30 crore has been approved. Similarly, in Gairsain (Chamoli district), ₹2.74 crore has been sanctioned against a ₹6.83 crore flood protection scheme on the banks of the Ramganga River; in Harsil (Uttarkashi district), ₹4.10 crore has been approved under a ₹10.24 crore scheme for protective works on the right bank of the Bhagirathi River; and in Dharampur (Dehradun), ₹1.72 crore has been sanctioned as the first installment under a ₹4.30 crore flood protection scheme on the Suswa River.

Additionally, ₹13.90 lakh has been approved for legacy waste disposal in Imalikhera Nagar Panchayat. The Chief Minister has also approved renaming the Government Higher Secondary School, Dobariyasaar, located in Rikhnikhal (Pauri Garhwal), after martyr Anuj Negi.
