Haridwar: During his visit to Haridwar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah strongly praised Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
In his speech, Amit Shah repeatedly appreciated Dhami’s leadership and said that he has worked to eliminate the state’s problems one by one.
He said that because of this work, Uttarakhand is now rapidly moving forward on the path of development.
Discussion on Encroachment and Law and Order
Amit Shah said that the Dhami government has removed more than 10,000 encroachments in Uttarakhand.
He said that wherever infiltrators exist in the country, they are being identified and action is being taken to remove them.
He also mentioned the Uniform Civil Code and said that it has started from Uttarakhand. He added that the anti-cheating law implemented in the state has played an important role in bringing transparency in employment.
Mention of Employment Opportunities
The Union Home Minister said that 1,900 youths have been appointed as police constables.
He said that if the Congress government had been in power today, such transparent recruitment would not have been possible. Earlier the system of “parchi and kharchi” used to prevail, but now youth are getting jobs without bribery.
Reference to Haridwar Kumbh
Amit Shah also mentioned the Haridwar Kumbh and said that the upcoming Kumbh Mela will break many records.
He said that the Haridwar Kumbh is a symbol of faith and pride for the entire country.
He said that today marks four years of the Dhami government, while the BJP government has completed nine years. During this period many historic decisions have been taken.
Amit Shah congratulated Chief Minister Dhami for implementing the Uniform Civil Code and said it will ensure equal laws for all citizens and will prove to be an important step toward equality in society.
