Emphasis on Respect and Empowerment of Senior Women

The Chief Minister said that serving senior citizens and elderly mothers is a collective responsibility of everyone. The state government is running several welfare schemes for the empowerment of women, especially senior women.

He said that through schemes such as old-age pension and widow pension, financial assistance is being provided to women. In addition, efforts are being made to strengthen healthcare facilities for the elderly and improve arrangements for old-age homes in various districts.
