Uttarakhand Health Department Gets 168 Bonded Doctors; To Be Deployed on Char Dham Route

Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Health Department has received 168 bonded MBBS doctors, who will soon be deployed in hospitals across various districts.

Most of these doctors will be posted along hospitals located on the Char Dham Yatra routes to ensure better medical services for pilgrims and local residents.

Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said the doctors graduated from Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Government Institute of Medical Science & Research in Srinagar and will now serve in different districts.

  • Pauri – 21 doctors
  • Tehri – 21
  • Chamoli – 20
  • Uttarkashi – 20
  • Rudraprayag – 15
  • Pithoragarh – 23
  • Almora – 24
  • Champawat – 12
  • Bageshwar – 12

The government warned that strict action will be taken against doctors who remain absent from duty without permission.

The Char Dham Yatra is scheduled to begin on 19 April, and authorities are strengthening healthcare arrangements in high-altitude areas.
