Signals of extending the Gairsain Assembly session; CM Dhami says the government will answer every question of the opposition

Gairsain: The duration of the ongoing budget session at the Bhararisain Assembly in Gairsain, the summer capital of Uttarakhand, may be extended. On Wednesday, during the discussion on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami indicated in the House that the session period could be increased.

The Chief Minister said that if required, the Assembly could also function on Saturday, followed by a holiday on Sunday, and discussions could resume again on Monday. He clearly stated that the government is fully prepared for as much discussion as the opposition wants and will respond to every question raised by them.

Response to opposition allegations

Chief Minister Dhami said the opposition has been continuously alleging that the government does not want the House to function, whereas the reality is completely different. He said that the highest number of Assembly sessions in Bhararisain have been held during the last four years, and this number will be increased further in the future.

He added that the session is currently scheduled to continue until Friday, but if necessary, it will be extended to allow detailed discussions on important issues.

Government’s commitment to Gairsain

The Chief Minister said that Gairsain is a symbol of the hopes and self-respect of the hill region, and the government recognizes this sincerely. He said that this is why the government has organized not only Assembly sessions here but also several important programs.

He added that the government has done nothing wrong and is ready to answer every question raised by the opposition. The government will not step back from any discussion the opposition wants.
