Uttarakhand Issues SOP for Commercial LPG Supply During Char Dham Yatra and Tourist Season

Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government has issued a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to ensure uninterrupted supply of commercial LPG cylinders during the upcoming Char Dham Yatra and tourism season.

According to the SOP issued by Food and Civil Supplies Secretary Anand Swarup, oil companies including Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) will supply 2,650 commercial LPG cylinders daily in the state.

The supply will be distributed among different sectors including:

  • Hotels and resorts
  • Restaurants and dhabas
  • Hospitals and educational institutions
  • Government guest houses
  • Dairy and food processing units
  • Industrial canteens
  • Homestays and self-help group establishments

District-wise distribution has also been fixed, with 31% allocated to Dehradun, 13% each to Haridwar and Nainital, and the remaining percentage distributed among other districts.
