Dehradun: Political parties have intensified preparations for upcoming assembly elections in four states and one union territory. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has assigned key responsibilities to Uttarakhand leaders and workers to strengthen campaigning in these states.
As part of the strategy, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will soon campaign in these states through rallies and roadshows.
Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has been actively working in West Bengal for the past few months to strengthen the organization. BJP Yuva Morcha teams are also working at the grassroots level.
According to sources, Dhami has been given responsibility for campaigning in West Bengal, Assam, and Kerala. His previous campaigns in states like Bihar, Haryana, and Delhi have been considered beneficial for the party, leading the central leadership to place trust in him again.
Other leaders and ministers from Uttarakhand will also be sent in phases to election-bound states. BJP General Secretary Kundan Parihar stated that Uttarakhand workers are appreciated nationally, which is why they are repeatedly given responsibilities in other states.
Voting will be held on April 9 in Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry; April 23 in Tamil Nadu; and in West Bengal in two phases on April 23 and 29.
