Conclusion of Kashipur Chaiti Fair, CM Dhami Makes Big Announcement; Maa Bal Sundari Temple to Be Beautified

Kashipur: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the closing ceremony of the Chaiti Fair held in Kashipur, Udham Singh Nagar. On this occasion, he made a major announcement regarding the beautification of Maa Bal Sundari Temple and the development of the temple परिसर. He also offered prayers at the temple for the prosperity and peace of the state.

After performing पूजा at the temple, the Chief Minister inaugurated a devotional music evening by lighting a ceremonial lamp. Renowned bhajan singer Lakhbir Singh Lakkha performed devotional songs, which were enjoyed by the devotees.

CM Dhami announced that funds from the Chaiti Fair corpus would be used for the beautification and overall development of the Maa Bal Sundari Temple complex. He welcomed devotees attending the fair and said it is a living symbol of faith, culture, and tradition.

He added that the Chaiti Fair is not just a religious event but also an important medium to promote local trade, tourism, and employment. It will strengthen the regional economy and create new opportunities for youth.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is progressing rapidly. Several key development projects are underway for the development of Kashipur.

He stated that an Electronic Manufacturing Cluster Park is being developed over 133 acres in Kashipur, with 16 industrial units already allotted. Additionally, over ₹494 crore has been approved to upgrade the Kashipur–Ramnagar highway to four lanes, and a 3 km mini bypass has already been started.

To improve transportation facilities, an ARTO office and an automated driving test track have also been launched. He added that major projects worth around ₹1,950 crore, including drinking water, sewerage, road improvement, and sewage treatment plants, are in progress.

Furthermore, an industrial hub worth ₹1,100 crore and an Aroma Park project worth ₹100 crore will give new direction to regional development.

He said that the government is working to connect the Chaiti Temple with the Manaskhand Corridor, aiming to develop it as a major religious and tourism center, giving Kashipur a new identity as both a spiritual and industrial hub.

He also reiterated the government’s commitment to strict law and order, action against corruption, and providing employment to youth. He said that by implementing the Uniform Civil Code, Uttarakhand has set a new example for the entire country.
