Champawat received gift of development schemes worth ₹36.83 crore, CM Dhami did foundation laying and inauguration

Champawat: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, to give speed to development of Champawat district, did foundation laying and inauguration of 17 development schemes worth ₹36.83 crore. In these, inauguration of 4 schemes built with cost of ₹7.12 crore and foundation laying of 13 schemes costing ₹29.71 crore are included. The Chief Minister said that from these schemes, benefit of development will reach the last person of the district and Champawat will move fast towards becoming an “ideal district.”

During the program, the Chief Minister also formally unveiled the 100 feet high national flag installed at Gandhi Chowk. On this occasion, he said that the tricolor is not only a flag, but a symbol of unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country, which inspires every citizen for service to the nation.

He said that under the leadership and guidance of Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is establishing new dimensions of development. The resolve to make Champawat an ideal district is an important step in this direction. He told that construction work of Goljyu Corridor with cost of more than ₹117 crore is ongoing in the district.

To strengthen health facilities, a 50-bed modern critical care unit has been established in the district hospital with cost of ₹20 crore. Along with this, facilities like CT scan and MRI with cost of about ₹5 crore have also been made available, due to which local people will not have to go outside for treatment.

The Chief Minister told that the Science Center being built with cost of ₹57 crore will help connect children with modern science and artificial intelligence, due to which they will be able to be ready for global competition. Apart from this, construction of Sharda Corridor will increase tourism and also increase self-employment opportunities for local youth.

To promote sports sector, the state’s first women sports college is being built in Lohaghat with cost of ₹257 crore. Along with this, dry port in India–Nepal border area and construction of old age home with cost of about ₹8.99 crore is also being done.

During the program, the Chief Minister honored brave soldiers, war widows and environment friends by making them wear shawls and said that the state government is committed to bringing development schemes rapidly on ground.

On this occasion, many public representatives, officials, ex-servicemen, war widows and a large number of local citizens were present.
