Ramnagar: On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Ramnagar, where BJP workers welcomed him warmly.
He offered prayers at Balaji Temple and Hanuman Dham Chhoi, praying for the prosperity and well-being of the state.
Later, he attended a training program at Aggarwal Sabha in Ramnagar. Addressing the gathering, he said Uttarakhand is Devbhoomi and the government is continuously working for the development of major religious sites. Several schemes are being implemented to improve infrastructure and beautification in Kedarkhand and Manskhand regions.
He stated that due to these efforts, the number of pilgrims visiting the state is increasing every year. Preparations for the 2027 Kumbh have already begun to ensure a grand and well-organized event.
Speaking about the winter pilgrimage, he said it is ongoing and will continue until the opening of Char Dham portals. So far, around 1.6 lakh devotees have visited religious sites during the winter yatra.
He added that the increasing number of visitors during winters reflects the growing importance of religious tourism in the state. The government aims to strengthen this further at national and international levels.
