Strict action plan for Char Dham Yatra, FIRs against rumor mongers: CM Dhami

Dehradun. The government has prepared a comprehensive and strict action plan to ensure the upcoming Char Dham Yatra is safe and smooth. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has clearly stated that FIRs will be registered against those spreading rumors during the pilgrimage and strict action will be taken.

During a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat, the Chief Minister directed officials to make the Yatra safe, well-organized, clean, and technologically robust. He said ensuring the safety and convenience of every pilgrim, including those coming from across the country and abroad, is the government’s top responsibility.

High-tech Yatra with CCTV and AI monitoring
The Chief Minister instructed that CCTV and artificial intelligence-based monitoring systems be deployed along the pilgrimage routes to ensure real-time tracking.

Focus on green and clean Yatra
CM Dhami said that the Green and Clean Char Dham Yatra campaign initiated last year will be expanded further this time. Plastic-free arrangements will be implemented along the routes and adequate collection boxes will be installed.

Strict action against rumor spreaders
The Chief Minister warned that any misleading information or rumors related to the Yatra will lead to strict legal action, including FIR registration.

Strict monitoring of helicopter services
Considering past incidents, the Chief Minister directed mandatory fitness checks for helicopter services, along with strict compliance with safety standards and prevention of overloading.

No shortage of essential supplies
He made it clear that there should be no shortage of gas, petrol, diesel, or other essential commodities along the routes. Nodal officers will be appointed at the district level to monitor the situation daily.

Strict plan for crowd management
To avoid long queues at the shrines, instructions were given to strengthen slot management and digital monitoring systems. The number of offline registration centers will be increased and processes simplified.

Focus on traffic and law and order
The Chief Minister directed the implementation of an effective traffic plan to prevent congestion on the routes. Adequate deployment of police and home guards at key locations will be ensured, and alternative routes will be prepared to minimize inconvenience to local residents.
