Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami distributed appointment letters to 12 candidates selected for the post of cartographer under the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department at the Chief Minister’s residence.
He congratulated the selected candidates and said their appointments will play an important role in strengthening the state’s agricultural system. He urged them to work with honesty and dedication to improve services for farmers.
Emphasis on transparent recruitment
The Chief Minister said that the state government has implemented a strict anti-cheating law to ensure transparency and fairness in recruitment. Following its implementation, more than 30,000 युवाओं have been appointed in government services so far.
Promotion of natural farming and millets
He stated that natural farming is being promoted in the state, with special focus on production and marketing of millets. Efforts are being made to increase farmers’ income through modern technology, irrigation expansion, and crop diversification.
Focus on horticulture and medicinal farming
The state is also promoting apple, kiwi, horticulture, and medicinal plant cultivation to boost farmers’ income.
Connecting youth with agriculture
The Chief Minister said the government aims to make agriculture profitable and attractive for youth, encouraging more young people to join the sector and become self-reliant.
The event was attended by Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi and other departmental officials.
