Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday conducted an on-site inspection of the under-construction bridge near Shiv Temple on Mussoorie Road. During the visit, he reviewed the progress of construction work on the bridge damaged due to rains and instructed officials to complete the work within the निर्धारित timeline.
The Chief Minister said that this bridge is an important route connecting Dehradun and Mussoorie, with heavy movement of local residents and tourists every day. He informed that to maintain smooth traffic flow, a Bailey bridge is being rapidly constructed from both sides and will soon be made fully operational.
CM Dhami stated that the construction of a permanent bridge at the site is also being undertaken on a priority basis, with a target to complete it within the next 2 to 3 months. He instructed the Public Works Department to ensure speedy work without compromising on quality.
He added that the state government is continuously working on strengthening roads and bridges across the state to improve connectivity in remote areas. He also emphasized that all necessary infrastructure work should be completed on time in view of the upcoming Char Dham Yatra and Adi Kailash Yatra, ensuring safe and smooth travel for pilgrims and tourists.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister also directed officials to regularly monitor the work and review progress.
