Dehradun: Anand Bardhan reviewed the “25-Point Programme 2025–26” at the Secretariat on Friday and instructed officials to quickly set targets for the year 2026–27. During the review meeting, the progress of all districts and various agenda points were discussed in detail.
The Chief Secretary directed all departments to finalize district-wise targets for 2026–27 within the next month and update them on the portal. He said that each district has its own challenges and priorities, so they should identify their focus areas and prepare action plans accordingly.
He also instructed secretaries, department heads, and district magistrates to set not only annual targets but also monthly goals, adding that these would be reviewed every month. He emphasized setting forest department-related targets for all districts and focusing on increasing the number of domestic and international tourists.
The meeting also stressed the expansion of eco-tourism schemes. The Chief Secretary directed that districts where eco-tourism initiatives are not yet operational should also be brought under this framework. Appreciating improvements in governance and justice, he noted that there is still significant potential in these areas and called for faster progress.
Senior officials, including R. Meenakshi Sundaram and Nitesh Kumar Jha, along with district magistrates from all districts, were present at the meeting.
