Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government has taken a major financial decision to accelerate preparations for the upcoming Kumbh Mela and various development projects. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state government has released ₹1,252 crore from the budget.
This amount will be spent on Kumbh Mela preparations as well as on the development of basic infrastructure across the state. Special focus will be given to strengthening roads, drinking water supply, sanitation, traffic management, and other essential services.
The government aims to ensure better facilities for the devotees visiting during the Kumbh Mela so that they do not face any inconvenience. For this, concerned departments have been instructed to complete the work within deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
In addition, this funding will also accelerate ongoing development projects in various parts of the state. The government believes that this will not only strengthen infrastructure but also boost tourism and the local economy.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the Kumbh Mela is not only an event of faith but also a significant opportunity for the state’s development, and the government is preparing at every level to make it a success.
