CM Dhami Hands Over Appointment Letters to 307 Youths in Uttarakhand, Health Services and Horticulture Department Get New Personnel

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday distributed appointment letters to 307 selected candidates during a program held at the Chief Sevak Sadan in the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. The appointees include 243 medical officers and 42 pharmacists in the Health Department, along with 22 laboratory assistants and mushroom supervisors in the Horticulture Department.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated the selected candidates and said that appointment letters are not merely a means of employment, but also a commitment to serving the people of the state. He stated that in a mountainous and geographically challenging state like Uttarakhand, the responsibility of healthcare workers is extremely important.

The Chief Minister expressed hope that the newly appointed medical officers and healthcare personnel would serve remote and rural areas with sensitivity and dedication. He said that in difficult circumstances, healthcare workers become the greatest hope for common people.

He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is continuously working to strengthen healthcare services. Under the Ayushman scheme, more than 62 lakh cards have been distributed in the state so far, and around 12 lakh patients have received the benefit of cashless treatment.

The Chief Minister said that special attention is being given to medical education for expanding the healthcare infrastructure in the state. At present, five medical colleges are operational in Uttarakhand, while two new medical colleges are under construction. In addition, nine nursing colleges and three nursing schools are also being run in the state.

He further stated that the government is continuously making efforts to provide employment opportunities to youth and strengthen healthcare services in every village of the state.
