Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday released the biannual magazine of the Secretariat Athletics and Fitness Club titled “A Resolution: For Better Health for All” at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. During the event, he appreciated the club’s efforts to promote health awareness and a fit lifestyle.
The Chief Minister said that a healthy body and a healthy mind are the foundation of better efficiency and a positive life. He said that regular exercise, sports activities, and a disciplined routine make a person physically and mentally strong.
He said that the Secretariat Athletics and Fitness Club is doing commendable work in spreading awareness about health among employees and society. Such activities not only promote fitness but also encourage collective participation, discipline, and positive energy.
The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to the club officials and members to continue working with the same energy and dedication in the future.
The magazine mentions various programs and activities organized throughout the year. These include health awareness runs, the Secretariat annual competition, inter-departmental competitions, a 15-kilometer run with the national flag on Independence Day, a 26-kilometer run on Republic Day, and a continuous relay run from Dehradun to Haridwar under the Namami Gange campaign.
Club President Lalit Chandra Joshi, General Secretary Rajendra Prasad Joshi, magazine editor Sharda Sharma, Treasurer Dinesh Ghinga, Chief Advisor Jeevan Singh Bisht, along with other officials and members, were present at the program.
