Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami distributed appointment letters on Friday to 483 selected candidates under the Irrigation and Agriculture Departments at the Chief Minister Camp Office’s Mukhya Sevak Sadan. Of these, 473 appointments were made in the Irrigation Department and 10 in the Agriculture Department.
During the event, the Chief Minister paid tribute to former Chief Minister and Major General (Retd.) Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri, saying that Khanduri envisioned an Uttarakhand where youth are recognized by their hard work and talent. He said that today’s appointment letter distribution is a major step toward realizing that dream.
The Chief Minister stated that distributing appointment letters is a recognition of the dedication, hard work, and determination of talented youth. He expressed confidence that the selected candidates would perform their duties with honesty and commitment and contribute significantly to the development of the state and the nation.
CM Dhami said that the state government implemented the country’s strictest anti-copying law, and positive results are now visible. Jobs are now being awarded purely on the basis of merit and hard work. As a result, around 33,000 youths have received government jobs over the last four and a half years.
He added that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country is moving toward the vision of Developed India 2047, and the Uttarakhand government is continuously working to strengthen the agriculture and irrigation sectors.
The Chief Minister noted that the state’s GSDP growth rate has reached 7.23 percent, while per capita income has increased by around 41 percent over the last four years. The state budget size has also crossed ₹1 lakh crore.
Irrigation Minister Satpal Maharaj said these appointments symbolize the active participation of youth in Uttarakhand’s development. Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi added that after the implementation of the strict anti-copying law, hardworking and deserving youth are finally getting employment opportunities.
