IAS Officer Tushar Anand Gets Additional Charge as Deputy Commissioner (HQ) in Ladakh

In a move aimed at strengthening the administrative framework in the Union Territory of Ladakh, Tushar Anand has been assigned additional charge as Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) in the office of the Divisional Commissioner and Commissioner Secretary, Revenue Department.

The order was issued by the General Administration Department of the UT administration with immediate effect.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITY ASSIGNED

Currently serving as the Mission Director of the National Health Mission (NHM), Ladakh, Anand will continue to handle his existing responsibilities while taking on the new assignment until further orders.

The appointment reflects the administration’s trust in the officer’s administrative capabilities, especially at a time when governance and departmental coordination remain crucial in the strategically important Union Territory.

KEY ROLE IN REVENUE ADMINISTRATION

As Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters), Anand will be associated with the functioning of the Divisional Commissioner’s office and the Revenue Department, which play a central role in land administration, revenue matters and district-level coordination.

The dual responsibility is expected to further strengthen institutional coordination between departments, particularly in areas involving public service delivery and administrative management.

CONTINUING ROLE IN HEALTH MISSION

Anand will simultaneously continue as Mission Director of NHM Ladakh, where he has been overseeing healthcare programmes and implementation of health initiatives across the Union Territory.

The National Health Mission remains a critical institution in Ladakh, given the region’s challenging terrain, remote habitations and unique healthcare requirements.

Officials said the additional charge comes into force immediately and will remain effective until new directions are issued by the administration.
