CM Dhami Congratulates Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Padma Bhushan Honour, Calls It a Proud Moment for Uttarakhand

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday visited the residence of former Chief Minister and former Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, to congratulate him on being awarded the prestigious Padma Bhushan by the Government of India.

The Chief Minister said that Koshyari receiving the Padma Bhushan is a matter of pride not only for Uttarakhand but for the entire nation. He described the award as national recognition of Koshyari’s long public life, service to the nation, social commitment, and dedication to public welfare.

Dhami stated that throughout his political and public life, Koshyari consistently prioritized public service, simplicity, and national interest. He noted that Koshyari played a crucial role in the Uttarakhand statehood movement as well as in the state’s development and nation-building efforts.

He added that the ideals established by Koshyari as a Chief Minister, Member of Parliament, Governor, and social worker serve as an inspiration for future generations. His life, he said, is an outstanding example of struggle, service, and dedication.

The Chief Minister further remarked that Koshyari has made significant contributions to strengthening Uttarakhand’s cultural identity, social awareness, and development across various sectors. His experience, guidance, and commitment to the nation will continue to inspire society.
