Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle involving four IAS officers, two PCS officers, and one Secretariat Service officer.
Key changes include:
- Vinod Kumar Suman, Secretary, Disaster Management and Rehabilitation, has been given additional charge as Project Director of the U-PREPARE project.
- Saurabh Gaharwar has been relieved from Disaster Management and U-PREPARE responsibilities and appointed Additional Secretary, Medical Health and Family Welfare.
- Jharna Kamthan has been assigned additional responsibilities as Additional Secretary, Drinking Water Department, and Director of Swajal.
- Prakash Chand has been relieved from Social Welfare and related assignments and appointed Additional Secretary, Disaster Management and Rehabilitation.
- Sundarlal Semwal has received additional responsibilities related to the Social Welfare Department, the Multipurpose Finance Development Corporation, and the office of the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities.
- Smrita Parmar has been assigned additional charge as Additional District Magistrate, Dehradun.
- Vikram Singh has been appointed Additional Secretary for the Social Welfare, Minority Welfare, and Secretariat Administration Departments.
The reshuffle is being viewed as a significant step toward improving administrative efficiency and strengthening inter-departmental coordination across the state.
