₹176.59 Crore Pension Released to 9.74 Lakh Beneficiaries With a Single Click

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami transferred ₹176.59 crore directly into the bank accounts of 974,338 beneficiaries under various pension schemes during a state-level awareness and orientation programme held at the IRDT Auditorium.

During the event, the Chief Minister also administered pledges related to drug de-addiction and the respect and care of senior citizens.

He said the government’s objective is to ensure that welfare benefits reach the last person in society without discrimination, delay, or obstacles. According to him, effective implementation of social welfare schemes is the true hallmark of good governance.

Dhami highlighted several central welfare initiatives led by Narendra Modi, including Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and free ration programmes.

He also mentioned that schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Stand-Up India, PM SVANidhi, and the National Rural Livelihood Mission have created self-employment opportunities.

The Chief Minister stated that Uttarakhand’s economy has grown by nearly 1.5 times over the past four years, per-capita income has increased by 41%, and the unemployment rate has declined by 4.4%. He added that the state budget has crossed the ₹1 lakh crore mark.

Dhami further noted that Uttarakhand secured the top position in the national NITI Aayog Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Index and ranked second among special-category states in the Public Financial Management Index.
