MFN World Champion Digambar Rawat Meets CM Dhami, Congratulated on International Victory

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Chamoli-based international Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) athlete Digambar Singh Rawat at the Chief Minister’s residence. During the meeting, the Chief Minister congratulated him on becoming the MFN (Matrix Fight Night) Lightweight World Champion and extended his best wishes.

The Chief Minister said that Digambar Rawat has brought glory to Uttarakhand and the country through his talent, hard work, and determination. He added that Rawat’s achievement serves as an inspiration for the youth of the state and demonstrates that athletes from Uttarakhand have the potential to establish themselves on the global stage.

He further stated that the state government is continuously working to promote sporting talent and provide better opportunities to athletes. Expressing confidence in Rawat’s future, he said that the champion would continue to make the state and nation proud through his performances.

Notably, Digambar Singh Rawat, a resident of Chamoli district, is currently the MFN Lightweight World Champion. He won the world title at MFN-18 in Greater Noida with a first-round Technical Knockout (TKO) victory.

Rawat thanked the Chief Minister and said that the encouragement being provided by the state government is boosting the morale of young athletes and motivating them to achieve their goals.
