Bhimtal’s Sanitation System Gets a Boost as CM Dhami Flags Off Five New Garbage Collection Vehicles

Bhimtal: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off five new garbage collection vehicles to strengthen sanitation services in Bhimtal town.

The Chief Minister stated that clean and beautiful cities are key to tourism and that the government is continuously providing necessary resources to urban local bodies.

During his visit to Bhimtal, he noted that the town is among Uttarakhand’s major tourist and religious destinations. Its lakes, natural beauty, and peaceful environment attract large numbers of visitors every year, making cleanliness and proper urban management essential.

The newly provided garbage vehicles will improve door-to-door waste collection and disposal systems, thereby strengthening the town’s sanitation infrastructure. He emphasized that scientific and timely disposal of waste is just as important as collection.

The government is also equipping urban local bodies with modern sanitation equipment to make cleanliness drives more effective, he added.
