Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami distributed appointment letters to 221 selected candidates in the Urban Development, Skill Development & Employment, and Animal Husbandry Departments through the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) at a ceremony held at Mukhya Sevak Sadan, Chief Minister’s Residence, on Tuesday.
Congratulating the newly appointed candidates, the Chief Minister said the state government remains committed to providing employment opportunities to youth through transparent and time-bound recruitment processes.
Over 33,000 Government Jobs in Four and a Half Years
CM Dhami stated that the state government has connected more than 33,000 young people with government services over the last four and a half years. He described the appointments as the result of hard work, dedication, and perseverance by the selected candidates.
He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, continuous efforts are being made to expand opportunities for employment and self-employment. Initiatives such as the Startup Policy, Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme, and Youth Promotion Schemes are helping strengthen young people economically and technically.
Strong Stand Against Recruitment Irregularities
The Chief Minister said there was a time when irregularities in recruitment processes harmed the aspirations of deserving candidates. However, recruitments are now being completed in record time through transparent procedures.
He highlighted the government’s strict action against examination fraud and cheating networks, stating that Uttarakhand has implemented one of the country’s toughest anti-cheating laws. He emphasized that the future of the state’s youth would not be compromised under any circumstances.
Call for Public Service
CM Dhami directed departments to expedite recruitment for all vacant posts and urged newly appointed employees to serve the public with the principles of simplification, resolution, disposal, and satisfaction.
He said the selected candidates are not merely government employees but active participants in the vision of a Developed Uttarakhand and Developed India 2047.
Distribution of Posts
Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bahuguna said that talented youth are now securing government jobs through merit and receiving appointment letters within a fixed timeline.
According to him, appointment letters were distributed to:
- 173 Instructors under the Skill Development and Employment Department
- 4 Personal Assistants
- 9 Personal Assistants in the Animal Husbandry Department
Cabinet Minister Ram Singh Kaida stated that appointments are being made without recommendations and with complete transparency. He noted that the Urban Development Department has appointed 215 people over the last two years, and this time 35 Assistant Accountants received appointment letters.
Several public representatives and senior officials attended the event.
