New Delhi/Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting was attended by chief ministers of various states, Union ministers, and senior officials of NITI Aayog. During the meeting, CM Dhami prominently raised several key issues related to Uttarakhand’s development.
Discussion on the Vision of Developed India 2047
According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the meeting featured extensive discussions on important topics such as the vision of “Developed India 2047,” strengthening cooperative federalism, and ensuring balanced and holistic development across states.
CM Dhami stated that the Uttarakhand government is continuously working toward the comprehensive development of the state in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India.
Issues Raised: From Infrastructure to Employment
During the meeting, the Chief Minister spoke in detail about infrastructure development, tourism, investment, employment generation, and public welfare in Uttarakhand. He emphasized that stronger coordination between the central and state governments would help achieve long-term national development goals.
Highlights Transformation in the Agriculture Sector
CM Dhami noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India’s agricultural sector has undergone significant transformation over the past 12 years. He said that schemes such as the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Kisan Credit Card, and the expansion of irrigation facilities have strengthened farmers economically and boosted the rural economy.
Focus on Uttarakhand’s Agricultural Initiatives
The Chief Minister stated that the state government is continuously working to promote horticulture, natural farming, millets, agricultural mechanization, and better market access for farmers. Special emphasis is being placed on ensuring that farmers in border and remote areas benefit from government schemes.
“House of Himalayas” Giving New Identity to Local Products
CM Dhami said that the “House of Himalayas” initiative is playing a significant role in connecting Uttarakhand’s mountain products with national and international markets. The initiative is helping local products gain recognition while also increasing the income of farmers and self-employed individuals.
Commitment to the Goal of a Developed Uttarakhand
The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government remains committed to building a “Developed Uttarakhand” in line with the vision of Developed India 2047. He expressed confidence that strengthening agriculture, tourism, investment, and infrastructure would take the state’s economy to new heights and ensure greater prosperity for farmers.
