Uttarakhand Receives ₹451.63 Crore in Special Central Assistance

Dehradun: The Central Government has sanctioned ₹451.63 crore as the first installment of interest-free financial assistance to Uttarakhand under the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment for FY 2026–27.

The funds will support approved capital projects under Part-I (Untied) of the scheme.

The Ministry of Finance also clarified that the unspent ₹53.27 crore from FY 2025–26 has been adjusted into the first installment for FY 2026–27.

The assistance will help finance infrastructure projects related to roads, bridges, drinking water, healthcare, education, tourism, and other public infrastructure.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the allocation, stating that it would accelerate the state’s development projects.
