Chamoli: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami received a grand welcome on his arrival in Gopeshwar on Wednesday. Local public representatives, BJP workers, and thousands of residents greeted him enthusiastically.
The Chief Minister held a roadshow from Gopeshwar Bus Station to the Police Ground, where people welcomed him with flower showers at various locations while BJP workers and supporters raised slogans in his support.
Dhami later participated in the “Seva, Good Governance, Dedication and Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar” programme, where he addressed a public gathering and highlighted the state government’s welfare initiatives, development works, and key achievements.
During the event, he announced 63 development projects worth ₹155.36 crore for Chamoli district, including the foundation laying of 36 projects worth ₹113.99 crore and the inauguration of 27 completed projects worth ₹41.37 crore.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the government’s priority is to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society. He said continuous efforts are being made to strengthen roads, bridges, education, healthcare, irrigation, flood protection, animal husbandry, tourism, and basic infrastructure across the state.
He added that Chamoli holds exceptional religious, cultural, and strategic significance, and the government remains fully committed to expanding development and public services in the district.
