Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanctions of approximately ₹4 crore for various development and infrastructure projects across Uttarakhand. The approved works include modernization of judicial infrastructure as well as development and beautification of prominent religious sites.
The Chief Minister has sanctioned ₹1.20 crore for the installation of a state-of-the-art paperless smart video conferencing boardroom at the Uttarakhand High Court. The initiative is aimed at enhancing the use of technology in judicial proceedings and improving administrative efficiency.
To promote religious tourism and preserve cultural heritage, ₹98.25 lakh has been sanctioned for the beautification of Gopeshwar Mahadev Temple in Someshwar, Almora district, including ghat construction and a protective check dam. Of this, ₹58.95 lakh has been released as the first installment.
Additionally, ₹56.51 lakh has been approved for the beautification of the newly constructed Durga Temple in Nanakmatta, Udham Singh Nagar, while ₹1.09 crore has been sanctioned for land levelling and beautification of the Shri Someshwar Mahadev Temple complex in Purola, Uttarkashi district.
The Chief Minister has also approved ₹63.39 lakh for the development of Batkeshwar Temple and pilgrimage site in Didihat, Pithoragarh district, and ₹54.81 lakh for development works at Madhyamaheshwar (Second Kedar) Dham in Rudraprayag district.
The state government said these projects will strengthen religious tourism while accelerating local development in the respective regions.
