Haridwar: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honored meritorious students who excelled in the High School and Intermediate Board examinations at the Talent Felicitation Ceremony organized by Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shikshan Sansthan, Uttarakhand in Roorkee. Congratulating the students, he said that hard work, discipline, and strong values are the keys to achieving success.
The Chief Minister said it was a privilege to honor outstanding students for the third consecutive year, adding that such recognition boosts their confidence and motivates them to perform even better in the future.
Praising Vidya Bharati’s education system, he said the organization is nurturing a value-based generation by imparting education rooted in Indian culture, patriotism, and moral values. He noted that 562 Vidya Bharati schools in Uttarakhand currently educate around 125,000 students.
Dhami said the state government has implemented the National Education Policy (NEP) to make education more modern and employment-oriented. Government schools have been equipped with smart classrooms, free textbooks, student incentive schemes, Bharat Darshan educational tours, IT laboratories, and skill development programmes.
He further stated that the state has enacted a strict anti-copying law to safeguard the future of young people and that more than 34,000 youth have secured government jobs through a transparent recruitment process over the past five years.
Urging students to play an active role in nation-building, the Chief Minister said that their knowledge, values, and leadership would help realize the vision of a Developed India and restore the country’s position as a global leader (Vishwaguru).
On the occasion, he also inaugurated the Anand Swaroop Arya Saraswati Vidya Mandir Shishu Vatika. The event was attended by public representatives, educationists, administrative officials, parents, and a large number of students.
