Odisha Deploys Three IAS Officers on Flood Duty in Jajpur, Bhadrak & Balasore

Bhubaneswar: In view of the prevailing flood situation, the Odisha government has deputed three senior IAS officers to Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore districts for overall supervision of flood preparedness, relief and restoration measures.

The officers have been directed to proceed to their respective districts immediately and remain stationed there to ensure effective monitoring of flood management operations in close coordination with the district administrations.

Senior IAS Officers Assigned to Flood-Hit Districts

According to the state government’s order, the following officers have been assigned flood duty:

  • Sudhansu Mohan Samal (IAS), Managing Director, Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC), has been deputed to Bhadrak district.
  • K. Sudarshan Chakravarthy (IAS), Managing Director, Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation (OSCSC), has been assigned to Balasore district.
  • P. Anvesh Reddy (IAS), Excise Commissioner, has been posted to Jajpur district.

To Oversee Relief, Preparedness and Restoration

The three officers will oversee flood preparedness, coordinate relief operations, monitor restoration activities, and work closely with district administrations to ensure timely response to the evolving situation.

The state government has asked the officers to remain stationed in their assigned districts until further orders to facilitate effective supervision of flood management efforts.
