Dehradun: Uttarakhand’s talented judoka Unnati Sharma has brought glory to the state and the nation by winning the bronze medal in the women’s 63 kg category at the Commonwealth Games 2026.
The historic achievement sparked celebrations across Uttarakhand. Family members, relatives, and local residents gathered at her home to congratulate her, distributing sweets and celebrating her success.
Her family said Unnati has been dedicated to sports since childhood and achieved this milestone through hard work, discipline, and determination. They described her success as an inspiration for aspiring athletes.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated Unnati Sharma, calling her achievement a matter of pride for both Uttarakhand and the country. He expressed confidence that she would continue to excel in international competitions and bring more laurels to India.
