Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanctions worth ₹150 crore for various development projects related to education, drinking water supply, and religious tourism across the state.
The Chief Minister has approved the release of ₹33.54 crore from the State Contingency Fund for Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry, Bharsar, to support its development and infrastructure.
To promote religious tourism, the government has also sanctioned ₹1.05 crore for the beautification of Dundeshwar Mahadev Temple at Kholakadakot in the Devprayag Assembly constituency of Tehri Garhwal.
Under drinking water projects, ₹2.69 crore has been approved for strengthening the Pau Pumping Water Supply Scheme in Lohaghat block of Champawat district. In addition, a major financial approval of ₹113.15 crore has been granted for the Sahastradhara Drinking Water Scheme under the AMRUT 2.0 Mission.
The state government said these projects will strengthen infrastructure in the sectors of education, drinking water supply, and religious tourism, while accelerating Uttarakhand’s overall development.
