Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial assistance of nearly ₹50 million (₹5 crore) for various development schemes and construction works across Uttarakhand. The approved funds cover projects related to the beautification of religious sites, road construction, safety infrastructure, and sports facilities.
For the beautification of the Maa Bal Kunwari Mata Temple at Devikhal in the Yamkeshwar Assembly constituency, the government has approved the first instalment of ₹4.36 million (₹43.60 lakh) against a sanctioned amount of ₹7.267 million (₹72.67 lakh). Similarly, the first instalment of ₹10.2 million (₹1.02 crore) has been released for the beautification of Mahabgarh Temple in Dugadda block, against an approved cost of ₹16.9 million (₹1.69 crore).
For the master plan of Shri Harichand Devta Temple in the Didihat Assembly constituency of Pithoragarh district, the first instalment of ₹8.508 million (₹85.08 lakh) has been sanctioned against an approved amount of ₹14.2 million (₹1.42 crore). Additional funds have also been approved for the beautification of Nanda Devi Temple at Milam (₹5.409 million), Guru Gorakhnath Temple in Salt, Almora (₹5.976 million), and Mostamanu Temple in Didihat (₹3.931 million).
The Chief Minister has also approved the first instalment of ₹4.766 million (₹47.66 lakh) for the construction of the Tamli–Rupaligad–Seem motor road in Champawat Assembly constituency, and ₹5.631 million (₹56.31 lakh) for fencing, a protective wall, and a CC-railing pathway to safeguard residents from wild animals in Silkot Gram Panchayat, New Tehri.
Additionally, the Chief Minister has approved ₹500,000 (₹5 lakh) in financial assistance to the Uttaranchal Press Club in Raipur, Dehradun, for the purchase of sports equipment. The state government said these initiatives would strengthen religious tourism, rural infrastructure, and local development across Uttarakhand.
