Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday hoisted the Tricolour at his official residence and gave the message of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. He appealed to the people of the state to hoist the Tricolour at their homes, establishments and public places, with respect for the national flag and a spirit of patriotism, and make this public participation campaign a success.
The Chief Minister said that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is not merely an event but a celebration of dedication to the nation, unity and national pride. The Tricolour is a symbol of the country’s identity, self-respect, sacrifice and martyrdom. It is the duty of every citizen to give the highest priority to respecting the national flag.
The Chief Minister said that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, launched at the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has now become a people’s movement. The campaign serves as a means of connecting every citizen with the spirit of nation-building. Uttarakhand, known as a land of valour, has always played a leading role in the defence and service of the nation. Therefore, every family in the state should participate enthusiastically in the campaign and further strengthen the glorious tradition of patriotism.
He appealed to the people of the state to put up the Tricolour at their homes and follow the Flag Code of India. He also urged families to familiarise children and young people with the importance of respecting the national flag and instil in them the values of patriotism.
The Chief Minister said that everyone should together transform the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign into a mass movement and further strengthen the unity, integrity and pride of the nation while upholding the honour of the Tricolour.
