14 Uttarakhand Police Personnel to Receive Chief Minister’s Medal for Meritorious Service on Independence Day

Dehradun: On the occasion of Independence Day 2026, 14 officers and personnel of the Uttarakhand Police will be awarded the Chief Minister’s Medal for Meritorious Service for their outstanding and commendable services. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will honour the selected police personnel at the Independence Day ceremony.

Of these, eight police officers and personnel have been selected on the basis of service, while six have been selected for specific achievements. Director General of Police Deepam Seth congratulated all the selected officers and personnel and said that the honour recognises their dedication to duty, commitment and exemplary spirit of service.

Six Police Personnel to Be Honoured for Specific Achievements

  • Sunil Kumar Meena, Inspector General of Police, Personnel

  • Shantanu Parashar, Additional Superintendent of Police, Cyber Crime Police Station, Dehradun
  • Manoj Aswal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Intelligence

Director General of Police Deepam Seth said that such honours would motivate officers and personnel of the police force to discharge their responsibilities with even greater dedication and commitment. The selected personnel will be presented with the Chief Minister’s Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day in recognition of their services.
