BJP Holds Deliberations on All Three Garhwal Lok Sabha Seats at State Headquarters, Prepares Strategy for 2027 Elections; CM Dhami Also Present

Dehradun: The BJP has intensified its preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections. Separate meetings concerning the three Lok Sabha constituencies of the Garhwal region—Tehri, Garhwal and Haridwar—were held at the BJP state headquarters in Dehradun on Tuesday. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, senior party office-bearers, MPs, MLAs and district presidents participated in the meetings.

The meetings focused extensively on organisational preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections, taking government schemes and initiatives to the general public, and improving coordination between the organisation and the government. The party also emphasised further strengthening the organisation at the booth level and activating party workers.

Tehri MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah Absent from Meeting

The first round of the meeting was attended by MPs, MLAs and organisational office-bearers from the Tehri Lok Sabha constituency. However, Tehri MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah could not attend the meeting due to health reasons. Other public representatives and organisational office-bearers from the constituency participated in her absence. Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, along with several MLAs and district-level office-bearers, were present.

In the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, discussions were held on the political situation and organisational preparations across the Assembly constituencies falling under the Tehri Lok Sabha constituency.

Deliberations Also Held on Garhwal and Haridwar Lok Sabha Seats

Following Tehri, meetings were also held regarding the Garhwal and Haridwar Lok Sabha constituencies. MPs, MLAs and district presidents from the respective constituencies participated. Suggestions were sought from office-bearers on taking information about Central and state government schemes to the public, achieving organisational targets and preparing for the upcoming elections.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the BJP is an organisation that remains active throughout the year with organisational activities and programmes. He said the purpose of these meetings is not only to take government schemes to ordinary citizens but also to discuss suggestions from party workers and upcoming organisational goals.

BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt said that the organisation is paramount in the party and that workers work with full dedication to achieve the targets assigned by the organisation. After meetings at the divisional and district levels, deliberations are now being held at the Lok Sabha level with public representatives and organisational office-bearers.

The 2027 Assembly election is extremely important for the BJP. As the party prepares to return to power for a third consecutive term, it is working to strengthen coordination between the organisation and the government while taking its electoral strategy down to the booth level. The meetings held across the three Garhwal Lok Sabha constituencies are being viewed as an important part of this strategy.
