Dehradun: The “Mere Sapno Ka Uttarakhand” (My Dream Uttarakhand) campaign launched at the initiative of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is receiving an overwhelming response from students across the state. More than 250,000 students have so far submitted their essays and suggestions through the portal, sharing their ideas about the future of Uttarakhand.
Under the campaign, students of Classes 11 and 12 have been invited to submit suggestions on eight major themes, including tourism, employment, social development, forests and the environment, education, healthcare and technology. Through their essays, students have shared their vision and aspirations for the Uttarakhand of the future.
A total of 140 outstanding ideas will be selected under the campaign. Selected students will get an opportunity to present their ideas before senior officials. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will also interact with these students and hear their suggestions. Outstanding students will receive support for career development and preparation for competitive examinations, along with other awards.
Campaign coordinator Dr Rahul Agarwal said entries are continuing to be received from students. The deadline for submitting essays has been set for August 24. Students are also being provided digital certificates.
Chief Minister Dhami said students’ ideas have the potential to give Uttarakhand a new direction. Efforts will be made to incorporate good and practical suggestions into the state’s development and future action plans. The government aims to ensure that young people are not merely beneficiaries of development schemes but active participants in building a developed Uttarakhand.
