Rudrapur: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken a strong stance over an alleged provocative speech delivered during a Juloos-e-Mohammadi procession at Trishul Chowk in Rudrapur. Speaking to the media at the Lohiyahed helipad in Khatima before leaving for Champawat, the Chief Minister said that the rule of law prevails in Uttarakhand and strict action would be taken, in accordance with the law, against anyone attempting to undermine law and order.
The Chief Minister said that the alleged inflammatory speech delivered at Trishul Chowk was not merely an individual’s statement but part of an ideology that challenges the Constitution and the country’s legal system. He made it clear that such activities would not be tolerated in the state under any circumstances. According to the Chief Minister, the administration is searching for the people concerned and legal action will be taken against them.
The Chief Minister also said that the government’s campaign against encroachments would continue. He claimed that around 13,000 acres of land had so far been freed from encroachment in the state. He said that the campaign against illegal occupation of government land would continue in the future as well.
On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the Chief Minister extended his greetings to women across the state and highlighted the government’s efforts towards women’s empowerment. He said that women in Uttarakhand are progressing in various fields, including self-help groups, politics, social work, and business.
The Chief Minister stated that 30 percent reservation is provided to women in government jobs, while 33 percent reservation in the cooperative sector is helping promote greater participation of women. He said that the government is continuously working through various schemes for the prosperity and overall development of women in the state.
