Lohiyahed: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday conveyed a message of promoting local businesses and self-employment in Lohiyahed. Walking on foot, the Chief Minister mingled with the common people and stopped at a popular local stall run by Ravi, where he tasted tikki.
Local residents and traders were visibly excited to see the Chief Minister walking casually among them. He spoke with stall owner Ravi, enquired about his business, and appreciated his efforts to earn a livelihood through self-employment at the local level.
During the interaction, the Chief Minister also spoke with local shopkeepers and residents. He said that promoting local products, traditional cuisine, and small businesses is a collective responsibility of society. Giving priority to locally made products and services directly benefits small traders, youth, artisans, and people engaged in self-employment.
The Chief Minister said that promoting local businesses strengthens the regional economy and also gives momentum to the vision of a self-reliant Uttarakhand. His informal interaction with local people became a major attraction for residents of the area. Traders and citizens appreciated his simplicity and his efforts to encourage local businesses.
