Haridwar: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched an attack on Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of making objectionable remarks regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. The Chief Minister stated that there should be respect and reverence for the Prime Minister’s mother, alleging that her mockery on Rahul Gandhi’s stage violated political decorum.
The Chief Minister added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is senior in age and experience and has accomplished significant work for the nation. Dhami remarked that the alleged comments and the subsequent laughter raise questions about Rahul Gandhi’s mindset and political dignity.
Termed Remarks on Ajit Doval Condemnable
The Chief Minister also reacted to Rahul Gandhi’s statements regarding Ajit Doval, stating that Doval has played a pivotal role in strengthening national security and is a distinguished son of Uttarakhand. He termed Rahul Gandhi’s remarks deeply condemnable.
Dhami accused Rahul Gandhi of repeatedly insulting the armed forces and personnel associated with them, questioning the Congress leader’s stance on surgical strikes, air strikes, and Operation Sindoor.
Dhami Attends Satpal Maharaj’s Birthday Celebration
The Chief Minister attended the 75th birthday celebrations of Cabinet Minister and spiritual leader Satpal Maharaj at Rishikul Ground in Haridwar on Monday. A large number of devotees from India and abroad attended the two-day event.
Extending birthday wishes to Satpal Maharaj, the Chief Minister remarked that he has lived a life of simplicity, humility, and discipline, and continues to serve Uttarakhand with the same spirit.
Governor Gurmeet Singh also extended his best wishes to Satpal Maharaj, expressing joy at attending the event. Attendees at the gathering pledged to work toward achieving the vision of a Developed India (Viksit Bharat) by 2047.
