Haldwani. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, addressing the controversy surrounding the Chief Election Commissioner, stated that every office follows a set working procedure. Officials record their observations and comments on reports or proposals, but final decisions are taken collectively through a set process. He added that the issue involving the Chief Election Commissioner is being given political color unnecessarily.
Upon arriving in Haldwani, the Chief Minister said that in the Secretariat as well, officers provide their opinions and notes on files or reports, after which final decisions are taken following established procedures. He emphasized that decisions are ultimately made in the best interest of the public.
When asked about rumors regarding former Chief Minister Harish Rawat contesting the assembly elections from Haridwar, Dhami called Rawat a respected leader whose entire life has been dedicated to society. The Chief Minister added that he prays for Harish Rawat’s good health and longevity.
